Perhaps the present day is much more open to the consciousness of children?

We strongly believe that nowadays, in the era of computer games and the Internet a wooden toy that doesn’t speak, doesn’t shine and lacks a remote control, plays a new, fundamental role. Playing with good wooden toys enables the real world to sink into children’s consciousness. It may become the means to preserve the children’s desire to explore the unknown in adult life. As far as we are concerned, playing with our toys is a game, in a sense, that every artistic activity is a game.
That is why the artistic form is so important in the Bajo toys. Our toys are made of wood in a wooden way: we use a different variety of deciduous trees, of original, unique graining; we expose the natural colour; we allow the wood to darken and stain, to preserve, despite the coat of varnish, the most of its natural warmth. In the case of every toy, we always do our best to preserve at least one, even very small, completely natural element. The technological means applied by our company, are used mainly to ensure the safety of the play, and not to give the wood the properties of plastic or metal.
